Cold Wood Pressed Coconut Oil — mature sun-dried copra, wooden chekku, nothing added. Mature coconuts are sun-dried into copra, then slow-pressed in a wooden chekku at low temperature. Unrefined, unbleached and filtered only, so it keeps the aroma and taste of real coconut. One bottle does three jobs in a Tamil household — the kadai, the hair and the skin — which is exactly why it was never a single-purpose product. WHY WOOD PRESSED A wooden chekku turns slowly. It does not heat the seed, so the oil keeps the vitamins, antioxidants and aroma that high-speed expellers and refineries burn off. Nothing is bleached out and nothing is added back. HOW TO USE • Cooking: thoran, poriyal, fish curry, and tempering that finishes with a coconut note. • Hair: warm a little and massage into the scalp; leave overnight for best effect. • Skin: a plain moisturiser, and gentle enough for baby massage. • Oil pulling: one spoon, swished for 10 minutes on an empty stomach. GOOD TO KNOW • Natural sediment at the bottom of the bottle is normal — it is the seed, not an impurity. Shake before use. • Unrefined oil can thicken or set in cold weather.
